Techniques

This little section is a collection of the techniques I use when making my patterns.

I learned them from blogs, videos, and fellow crochet hookers. Whenever possible, I’ll credit the original author or creator, but most of the time I learned these techniques from someone who also learned them online and wanted to share what they had discovered. So if you happen to know who the original authors are, please let me know! I’d love to give proper credit.

Why did I make this section?

1 – To share what I’ve learned over the years. I’m incredibly grateful to all the people who teach online, and I love the idea of passing along that kind of wisdom.

2 – To make life easier by gathering several techniques in one place. That way we don’t have to keep searching for them every time. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I need a quick refresh to remember how to do them!

3 – To avoid repeating myself over and over again in my patterns. You know I like to be very detailed and explain everything step by step… and I think you’ve already noticed I’m not exactly good at being concise (sorry about that!). If I added all these techniques to every pattern (which are already long!), they would become eternal! And if you ever need to print them, you’d probably hate me a little… and I really don’t want that. Also, maybe you’re a super crocheter and know all of them by heart, so you really don’t need that much explanation. So… that’s why.

Every time I use a new technique in one of my patterns, I’ll add it here.

And now, yes… I’ll stop writing. I really hope these techniques help you. Thank you for visiting my site and for your support… always.

Hugs, Paula
